MEMBERSHIP

WHAT IS MEMBERSHIP?

Church membership is the formal way of communicating your commitment to a local church. Simply attending services & events, being a part of the community, even getting baptized, tithing, and serving do not automatically make one a member. Being a "member in heart" isn’t enough, because commitment has to be communicated. Becoming a member communicates your commitment to make yourself accountable to the spiritual leadership of the church and to one another as members. Membership helps make clear who we are accountable to - who pastors should primarily minister to and what spiritual leadership one comes under. Membership is also a statement of solidarity and like-mindedness as we work towards a specific mission & vision together.

How to become a member of TGH?

To become a member of TGH, you must first have entered into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Second, we ask that you have been attending TGH for at least 3 months. If you meet these basic requirements, we ask you to read through and be in agreement with the three documents on this page: 1) Statement of Beliefs, 2) Mission, Vision & Values, and 3) Membership Covenant. Last, fill out the Membership Form on this page. Once you do, we will reach out to follow up & welcome you as a member.
